The diagram indicates how many books were sold last year at three bookstores located in Bayside City. Overall, Barnes and Noble bookstore accounted for the highest sales all year, peaking in the summer. Meanwhile, the sales figures for Frugal Muse, which were by far the lowest, and Cozy Corner fluctuated in the first half of the year, but grew overall.

As can be seen, Barnes and Noble sold nearly 25,000 books in the first month of the year before witnessing a steady increase to a peak of about 42,000 in August. In the remaining months, however, the figure fell sharply, ending at around 27,000.

In contrast, Cozy Corner book sales witnessed wild fluctuations in the first six months, but the trend was upward. After selling approximately 17,000 books in January, the number saw a two-fold increase by July. Subsequently, sales dropped markedly to 22,000 books sold in August, levelling off at this figure for the rest of the year.

Regarding Frugal Muse, the number of books sold fluctuated between 3,000 and 10,000 from January to September. Then, there was a gradual rise to a high of 12,000 books sold in December.

Overall, book sales in Barnes & Noble reached a peak in the summer, becoming the best seller whereas Frugal Muse had the lowest sales but an upward trend overall. Finally, Cozy Corner experienced wild fluctuations during the first half of the year before levelling off.

As can be seen, the number Barnes & Noble stood at under 25,000 in the first month, increasing gradually to a peak of approximately 42,000 in August before declining to a low of around 27,000 at the end of the period.

In contrast, Cozy Corner began at under 20,000 and then fluctuated between 15,000 and about 33,000 from January to July. Subsequently, there was a sharp drop to nearly 22,000 in August and this figure stayed unchanged till the end of the year. Likewise, Frugal Muse witnessed fluctuations over the first eight-months after starting at only 5,000 in January. This figure then reached a low of 15,000 in September before grew steadily to a high of just over 35,000 in December.

Looking at the graph, Barnes and Noble rising steadily in the first two quarter before hitting a peak of more than 40,000 in August. However, the sale didn't last long as it fell sharply to the amount of below 30,000 at the end of the year.

At a sale of almost 17,000 in January, Cozy Corner in contrast had a wild fluctuations within the first six months. Reaching its top sale at nearly 35,000 when stepping throw July then drop awfully in August and leveling around 22,000 untill December.

Staring of really low at only 5,000 sales, Frugal Muse didn't make any progress in the first quater and subsequently hit the lowest sale of no more than 5,000 in May. However it started to rise gradually untill leaving other two behinf in October for 25,000 sales with Cozy Corner and in December for 35,000 more compaired to Barnes and Noble.
